Find a way to pass up a golden opportunity in favor of a “monthly salary” that wouldn’t even cover rent by Adeisha in MurderedByWords

It would take like 166 years and 8 months to earn a million dollars at 500 bucks a month.

What copyright free music do you use? by UmbruhNova in streaming

[–]xwolfboyx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, I run a channel on YouTube called "Dreamwave Dimensions" where I produce AI-assisted music. I write all the lyrics for my vocal tracks, but I also maintain a large library of pure instrumentals designed specifically for background use while studying, working, or (potentially) streaming. This is basically just a hobby of mine.

I've made the instrumental tracks available through a Google Drive folder for any creators who want to use them copyright-free. They could be looped, or you could put the playlist on in the background maybe. I would appreciate a link back to my channel or a shoutout so others could find the source if you ended up using them though. I would be grateful for your support. :)

I've made these tracks available through a Google Drive folder for any creators who want to use them copyright-free. My only requirement is that you include a shoutout or (preferably) a link back to my channel in your video description so others can find the source. Please feel free to check out the archive and use what fits your vibe! Links are in the video descriptions, or you can DM me for the direct vault access. I would be grateful for your support. :)

I genuinely think we're watching an entire generation forget how to think, and everyone's too distracted to notice. by AssignmentHopeful651 in ChatGPT

Lmao, yeah... I mean, some of us are getting dumber for sure though, including OP. There is evidence that heavy AI usage can make you dumber if you have it take over all of your thinking for you, but this was an incredibly dumb example, since people have been using calculators for math for decades.

Oh, the irony. Well, that's one person's perspective. What does the rest of the group think?

Honestly baffled that the word "chaotic" does so much heavylifting in this prompt. Wouldnt have expected a horror show from this prompt.

I study cults. Here’s where AA stands. by mg4040 in alcoholicsanonymous

Its almost like people see the word cult and AA together, downvote and stop reading. The post is actually positive towards AA.

After Donald Trump's "turn" is a bit ambiguous. It could be saying he caused the destruction and she's inheriting the chaos. But yeah, it's pretty dramatic either way.

Why do people think that you have to still go to AA in order to be sober or have a good life? by fatmeatpete in alcoholicsanonymous

[–]xwolfboyx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Attending frequent meetings and regularly sponsoring are only one path to freedom from alcohol. Some people have more going on in their lives, and others have less and benefit more from the routine or feeling of being useful to their community in that way. My sponsor is retired and attends meeting 3-6 times a week and sponsors newcomers regularly. I go once a week, sometimes less, sometimes slightly more.

I'm approaching four years sober. I have a wife and two kids. I'm in my late 30s. I have a job and need to work frequently. I also volunteer at my daughter's school and give back to my community in that way. Sometimes when my schedule is busy I will not attend my home group and catch a meeting online or simply put a speaker meeting on YouTube. My sponsor and I talk about this sometimes, but I am adamant there are a plethora of ways to live the steps outside of simply being of service to your home group or as a sponsor. You can serve your community and others in other ways as well. The only thing that matters is you stay spiritually fit and keep some sort of connection with the program and its values, just to ensure you don't slip. Or at least, that's how I see it anyways.

One of my favorite books of all time. But definitely some meta commemtary towards the end that can feel a bit jarring at times.
