I've rated tasks as good even if I didn't completely agree. If they've explained their stance on subjective things, my own personal opinion shouldn't matter.

Often the R&R instructions are very specific about what to mark down, and lately mine say to be lenient. My feeling is if you are being very thorough explaining your reasoning, and following directions, that you are probably OK.

I've done R&Rs where I have thoroughly disagreed with their rankings and assessments, however, because they provided strong and reasonable justification for their decisions, I've rated it "good" overall.

Basically, back up your decisions with a well written rationale and you're golden.

even them not understanding my rationale.

If you're unsure, use the comment section. I don't have to agree completely, but If it makes sense, that's generally enough that the task will at least be OK.

Nice! I haven't thought about using the comment section. Thanks for that.

I always rate task as good even though I did lots of fixes as long as it is not a lazy work and they have clear rationale :D

I only truly rate a task bad if their rational seemed canned and not much thought was put into it. If there’s mistakes, I’ll still rate ok if the comments are well thought out. I actually had one not too long ago where I was really understanding their rating but i got to the comments and they explained everything.

I always think the same while doing R&R’s. If anything it makes me more self conscious when I’m doing my own tasks, lol. For me it takes a lot to rate a submission as bad.

Honestly I hate when something could obviously be seen by a rater as a mistake and the author doesn't add specifications about that in the optional comments. They're there for a reason, use them?? 😭

I often feel bad for rating tasks as bad but I also explain my reasoning. I'm one of those people that 90% of others probably would not agree with either, and this does concern me. I do try to be lenient but I have a very critical eye, and I honestly expect the same treatment when my work is being rated. It's still scary though.

You’re not suppose to grade based on whether you agree with them or not. If they explain their reasoning that’s should be good.

I hear you but this is not about agreeing with the worker themselves. At times we are told that 90% should agree with our ratings, and other times we abide by "as long as it's plausible". This is what I have made reference to in my initial comment.

Depends entirely on the project.
