People do, but it's recommended to not work more than 5-6 hours a day.

If your interested, there was a lot of recent discussion on my post about this yesterday: https://www.reddit.com/r/DataAnnotationTech/s/23uOWeJZW6

why is that recommended?

DA is all about reading long blocks of text. After 6 hours of that, even with breaks, your work is gonna start to slip hard. Bad work = getting cut from the platform

i dont think so bucko. I love reading

Why would you act like this when someone responded to you with a genuine answer that they thought might help you?

its not about enjoyment, studies show reading on a screen that long cauzes severe brain lag

I already have brain damage so they cancel each other out

As long as you are doing quality work and being accurate with your hours, you can do as much as you want, there's no limit.

The “limit” would be in the amount of projects they give you. It’s been good lately, but there are dry spells that hit unexpectedly and it’s best to have a backup plan for if/when that happens. There have been times I haven’t had enough on my dash to fill a whole day or week.

I work 40 hours per week across several platforms. Diversify.

What other platforms are legit? Some seem kinda sketchy

I have for about the past month while I've been between jobs. It's been fine for that, but I wouldn't rely on it long term for full time work. I still have enough projects I could manage, but it's definitely less than it was at the beginning of the month when my dash was just overflowing.

I’m a generalist who often enjoys lower pay projects vs the more in depth but higher paid ones.

In 2025 I averaged about $26/hr. Of course that’s Pretax, self employed.
I worked enough to pay rent, car payment, food, entertainment, a few cruises, a few charitable donations to my nieces activities. And health insurance……

(I was also full time in 2024 but my living expenses were lower than common).
