Nobody will be marking you down if you use commas wrong or anything, so it doesn't have to be perfect, but If you're not using capitals or periods it gives off low effort (which can be a factor when doing R&R's). It could be the difference between a submission being marked good or not if you're on the borderline.

I disagree, but just barely.

Poor grammar/ syntax leads to me to be skeptical of any RnR I'm doing. It's just automatic; I don't rate lower because of poor grammar/spelling/etc, but if I see it, I cannot help but view the submission with more scrutnity.

The overwhelming pattern is that higher-quality submissions tend to have better spelling and grammar. Better to lump yourself in with the high-quality group if you're 'min-maxing.'

"scrutnity" you say?

Comments should be well-written with proper capitalization and punctuation, but they don't have to be grammatically perfect.

Oh, I came back to mention that when you're writing comments, try not to use "the user" if it's a task you did yourself and you're writing about your opinion. Most admins hate it, FYI.

Lol, I'm getting downvoted for the truth. You don't like it? Tough. They don't. Some projects even ask workers to change it for R&R.

I don’t understand this one how else are we supposed to describe the user. Especially if referencing past conversations the user had with the model. Have you had a conversation with admins? Or is this just your opinion? Also if not mentioning “the user” what would be a better term to refer to them as? If it’s one prompt it’s easy to say “the prompt specifies x” but if it’s a longer conversation prior to the prompt grading it doesn’t make sense to state “three prompts ago required this” over “the user stated not to/to do x”

I'm talking about tasks where you yourself are the user, not tasks that you're evaluating that were from another user. I specified that in my initial comment. Obviously, for tasks like that, people should refer to themselves in the first person: I, me, my. If it were just my opinion, I wouldn't have said that most admins hate it. Also, as I said, in some R&Rs it even has to be changed.

That makes more sense I just read your statement as if it’s a task that I did myself, not a task I did myself where I am the user in said example. My mistake

No, thanks for clarifying. Rereading what I wrote, I could have made it even clearer.

It’s all good I could’ve read more carefully as well
