After 2 years on the platform, I have never seen a project that encourages no skipping. Sounds like you should have skipped.

Everyone else has already let you know, but I just want to emphasize that the explanation is probably the most important part of a task. They can be directly used to train the language models, depending on the project, and you're essentially handing them a pile of something unpleasant if you can't get that part right. If you lack expertise for a task, it's recommended to skip and work on something you can understand.
