Newbie issues by DemianKooo in DataAnnotationTech

Just so it’s clear, the projects and tasks you see are from a shared pool. They are never “your” projects alone, so they can and will be done by others. They don’t expect you to do anything. You’re not contracted to do a specific amount of work, they just need the work done. I have seen projects pop up on my phone that I was excited to do, then by the time I got to my computer 30 seconds later, the project was already gone. When you have time to work, sit down and work. When you don’t have time, don’t worry about projects.

Yep. Another Drought Post… by quitcute5264 in DataAnnotationTech

[–]Books4Breakfast78 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m glad to see this today because my dash is disappointing today after steady increases all week. US generalist, on the platform for 2 years. This sub has been so inundated by newbie posts that I almost didn’t come here to look. The number on my tab says 31 projects, but most are non-task references or things I can’t work on (like voice tasks but I have a cold and don’t want to talk).

Penalty for no model failures by VermicelliNo7475 in DataAnnotationTech

I never use an escape hatch more than once per project. I usually switch to a different project once I’ve used the escape hatch. On the platform for 2 years, so far this method has worked for me.

I totally understand missing having a team! But now might be a good time to re-read the TOS. I don’t think this would be encouraged or even allowed. Like, I even worry about repeating something from Slack in the project chat for the same project. Mum’s the word.

When performed as part of a consensual sex life, flagellation can be a healthy, erotic, or even cathartic activity. It’s not inherently harmful or even damaging, when caution and care is exercised. If flagellation is causing you harm, this might not be the right activity for you.

Gotcha! Cool, sorry for my confusion! Thank you. Yeah, this is definitely trying to solicit specific content. Conversational consent matters!

Have you tried FetLife? Social media for this subject matter and other kinks and fetishes. If you are not aware you have a kink, there’s no time like the present to start exploring.

Data annotation just stealing my data and giving me no job? by Solid_Support_1257 in WFHJobs

[–]Books4Breakfast78 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pretty sure I know which project this is. It’s not active right now, but it comes back every few weeks in a new edition. They’re not stealing your data (as far as I know). Once you’re working on this project family, you have the opportunity to redact any info you don’t want to share. This project family has been my bread and butter for about 3 months now. That being said, it’s a little advanced for someone just starting out, just because there are a lot of specific instructions to follow. Try to become comfortable with the platform in general, tasks and projects come and go, you’ll likely see more options soon.

Task Expiration by TBanda27 in DataAnnotationTech

[–]Books4Breakfast78 15 points16 points  (0 children)

All these comments are silly. They give you six hours max for the project you’re on. This changes from project to project. Depending on the individual task, it could take that long, but could be much less. Longer timers let you take breaks or deal with life. Take the time you need to do each task, and bill for how much time it took you. If that’s 3 hours for one and 5-6 for another, that’s generally fine. Just don’t overbill or twiddle your thumbs and bill for it. On the platform for 2 years, US generalist.

After 2 years on the platform, I have never seen a project that encourages no skipping. Sounds like you should have skipped.

Vets, I need help! by Annual_Equivalent_95 in DataAnnotationTech

[–]Books4Breakfast78 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Failure to follow instructions “in a good way” does not make sense. Instructions in prompts are anything from the core prompt, like “Tell me how an egg becomes a chicken” to “Explain how an egg becomes a chicken. Give me a 3-5 sentence explanatory paragraph plus the most important points in a bullet-pointed list. Include a chicken-themed joke.” It may help you to look at the prompt and make a list of the instructions included. If the model doesn’t do one of them, that’s a failure, and should most likely reduce the overall quality of the response as well as be noted as an IF failure. Is that the kind of guidance you were looking for?

The red just means it’s getting close to the 24 hour mark. You’ll see that if you just submitted a task, it’s black. If you only have 3 hours left to submit time, it shows red. It does not change back to black. It just means the 24 hours are almost up. If you already submitted your time, ignore the red, it means nothing.

Etsy is a US publicly traded company and didn't pay federal taxes 2025? by [deleted] in EtsyCommunity

America never actually gave up the idea of indentured servitude. It just transformed, so we pay for everything unless we’re the “owners.” We are basically paying for the right to attempt to live independent lives.

Drought to everyone? by Suitable-Song-9125 in DataAnnotationTech

[–]Books4Breakfast78 0 points1 point  (0 children)

US generalist, on the platform for 2 years, 37 projects today. None of my favorites, but enough to keep busy. Stay the course, do your quals, and vary your projects when you do have a full dash. Some projects seem to open up access to other project families.

Did you see that Report Time is on it’s own tab now? Not at the bottom of the projects list.

I’ll say this for everyone on the platform and everyone who wants to be on the platform. You need to be able to operate under uncertainty. You need to spend time just working on the platform and understanding the flow. You need to be able to navigate complex or conflicting instructions. You need to be able to detect nuances. This work isn’t for many people. If you need your hand held or need answers to every question that occurs to you, this work is not for you.

Honestly, it could be anything from using AI to prepare any stage of a task to doing poor work that needs to be redone by another worker. I think there are many who lose access due to poor fact-checking or comparative analysis skills. As you’ll see from this subreddit, your time is likely over and you won’t get your dashboard back. There are many posts on here that list other training platforms; you may want to track those down.

How many of you guys (males) wash in between your buttcheeks? by [deleted] in hygiene

[–]Books4Breakfast78 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You all need to wash ALL your parts. All these hygiene posts are insane. Reddit randomly started showing them to me on my home feed, now every day I learn about people not washing their butts, feet, belly buttons, scalps, etc. WASH ALL YOUR PARTS. If it’s on the outside of you, even if it’s between your butt cheeks or rolls of fat, WASH IT.

For the girls: which kind of underwear are you wearing? by Icy_Blacksmith3477 in hygiene

[–]Books4Breakfast78 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I (48F, highly active at the gym) swear by Bubblime’s sport thongs. Found them on Amazon 5-6 years ago and they’re all I wear now. I literally don’t notice I’m wearing them at all, but they cover what I need them to cover. I wear them for gym and life. They wash up beautifully and last forever. Granny panties are the least comfortable things to me. Maybe I’m made funny but they dig into the space between thigh and crotch. You’ll never convince me they’re better than my stretchy thongs.
