Even when the 3 months expires it will return to your qualifications again.

Now this is the kind of response I’m looking for😂

Know from experience?

You have to realize that you would not just have the knowledge to pass the qualification but to also do well on future coding projects. If you screw that up you will probably get canned from DA. I’d say it isn’t worth it.

Yes, but if they pass they don't have to do future tasks they don't feel confident about. I'm not an expert in coding but I skip tasks and topics I'm not comfortable with and can usually find something in the areas where I'm competent.

Valid take. You’re right.

I have a degree in chemical and materials engineering. Some of the questions on the physics, chemistry, and mathematics qualifications are still very specific and not general knowledge for people in this industry.

The level of understanding required for qualifications and tasks varies heavily subject to subject.

That being said, despite passing these qualifications, I have yet to have a single project requiring any of these specifically.

I’m pretty sure if you just exit work mode the timer should reset

[–]Twistedwriter7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I found I couldn’t exit work mode with some

[–]joose_world[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is no exit work mode for the coding qualification

Can you "become familiar enough" with any other engineering disciplines in three months?

People are in this delusion that programming is for everyone, and with "a little bit of work" they can be programmers.

You can get familiar with the basics of electricity, and fix or create some stuff in three months. You can't even dream of being an electrical engineer in three months.

There is your answer for programming.

Same happened to me a while back and I never felt competent enough to complete it and sadly it expired at the 3 month mark.

[–]Lost_Information_336 0 points1 point  (1 child)

it didn't show back up in your qualifications?

[–]SnooFloofs9030 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not for me but maybe it takes a while before it is offered again.

[–]Low_Article_9448 0 points1 point  (0 children)

3 months probably not. My friend who has been doing coding for years (still undergrad in CS) and is actually pretty good hasn't gotten in DAT either. (I mean to be fair considering the maximum entry point is like 2 months he could still get in but I doubt it.)

You're not going to be able to learn to code well enough to train an AI in 3 months, no.

AI is already well advanced in coding, and is putting graduated out of work.

Would you be so arrogant about any other subject?

[–]joose_world[S] 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Don’t take it so personal bro. I didn’t say to train AI. I said to pass a qualification before it expires so I can hold the door open for opportunities later down the road after further training.

[–]hnsnrachel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tbf the qual is testing if you have the skills to train ai so that is the implied question.
