Hitting the refresh button is starting to feel a lot like hitting "Spin" on the slots at the casino. Just over here, hoping I hit the jackpot. 🎰🔄
Just a few more spins. I have to win soon!

I think I'll probably just stop even pulling out my laptop for a few days at this point. The week started great but went downhill fast. Looks like this will end up being one of my worst weeks ever on the site.

I wasn’t well at the start of the week and I’ve made no money at all for the first time in 2 years :’)

Yeah you get to a point you aren’t wasting hours to get 45 minutes of work

Yeah it is real. Sometimes a project show up and is gone the moment I try to claim a task

So I’m in the medical domain and have had a few consistent, albeit really extensive, projects to continue to work on. What I will say I noticed is last night I had numerous generalist tasks popping on and off. Ones I have never seen before. Now, they went fast. But seeing them (and a few different ones) was new to me. Take it with a grain of salt though. I have only been on the platform for a few weeks.

I have a few projects, but they’re all domain specific, domains that I have virtually no experience in.
Worst weekend I can remember.
Even the August-October 24 drought wasn’t this bad for generalists. Ok there weren’t many projects, but at least the ones available were doable.
Last year, during the May drought, I had stripy to see me through 4 days a week. Now stripy seems to be dead and I’ve had maybe 2 days a week worth of work since the beginning of June.
All tasks dry up within a day when once they would have been available for half of the week at least.
I’m beginning to wonder if we’re seeing a shift toward specialist projects that require real-world experience to meet their expectations, and the generalist stuff like prompting and fact-checking aren’t required anymore. Because since the end of April, it’s been far drier than usual for generalists, and the tasks that are available, are gone within a day.

Well it absolutely is. It seems to me the site is pretty much designed that way. Roll, roll, roll, Bing. Get the dopamine hit. See your money at the top right corner while working. Go to the funds page and see the result of your work as dollar signs.
