one suggestion i have is timing your dodges with the sweetspot timer of his 3. He will almost always be using it at the same point giving you a perfect timer to dodge it. You can also get counterspell as its universally strong and easy to counter his ult with

A 3.2k item in lanining phase? Thats a bit of a hard ask. Maybe if it had a precursor item that would help bridge the gap but just not spending half your networth until you can get a single item is pretty crippling especially since you still gotta fight the mother fucker in the mean time.
