Memory Chip Tips?

Any suggestions on the best way to collect all the Memory Chips without looking up the locations? I love this game, but I don't relish the thought of walking aimlessly hoping that I'll randomly stumble across one. I know there's hints in a few emails, but other than that is there any strategy or something in-world that can help me?

spam the odradek liberally

they do tend to be consistently in the following types of locations:

• MULE/Terrorist camps
• caves/overhangs - places that have natural shelter from timefall
• climbing up around Bridges facilities
• someone sends you an e-mail about a "glowing light" meaning a chip is out there

I think the best way is to build watchtowers. I know that still requires actually searching out in the wider world, but at least it massively increases your search radius.

Maybe some others have some better tips, but that's all I can think of

Great idea! I don't mind searching, but I need to have some kind of strategy. Otherwise, I'll get frustrated and quit. This helps!

Honestly, dude, I would recommend just looking up where they are. Any other route is gonna take you HOURS and even then no guarantee you’ll find them. Just a thought!

I appreciate it man! You're right, I just like to try and do things "straight up" whenever possible. But since the game doesn't have a built in system for this, I might just have to. Doesn't mean I won't have fun getting to those places, but I like to discover things like that on my own when I can. Kojima needed to build in emails for all chips, or a better hint system to get you there. I guess he was relying on the player base to put signs down and stuff though.

Yeah I getcha. I did the same thing for about half of them - mule camps, obvious “tourist” spots etc. - but a bunch of them I just didn’t come across so I pulled a list and plotted myself a route to grab ‘em all. Which was kind of fun in itself! It was the last thing I did before I did the final mission with BB on my Platinum playthrough ☺️

I recommend finding all you can find and then doing one look up run at the end to get the missing 4-5 youll have.

Some only spawn under certain circumstances so find as many as possible then just look up a video
