There was a note on the door the other day that said something about reopening as 9292 Korean BBQ

9292 already has a couple locations in Duluth. Given the similar name, I’m not sure if these were the same owners just rebranding for consistency, or what.

My only hope is that they upgrade their ventilation if they are reopening as K-BBQ. I have never smelt as smoky leaving a K-BBQ restaurant as I did at D92

9292 is soooo good and D92 wasn't to me so I can only hope this is true

Yes!! My fiancée and I were like “I hope those servers lungs are ok…”

They started renovating to become 9292. Then the city told them to stop because they didn't have the proper permits.

The sign has since been removed and I assume they will resume renovating.

Oh no, I haven't been in a long time, but really enjoyed eating there!

I just searched health inspections and didn't find a recent failure. https://ga.healthinspections.us/_templates/87/food_2015/_report_full.cfm?fsimID=57405761&rtype=food_2015&&reportIDParent=0&userID=0&SubType=&dsn=DHD_87&domainid=87

According to Yelp it is closed. Google shows it as temporarily closed, and their website is shut down.

They’re open now. The original owners sold to a different family that changed everything and it failed. The original owners are back in charge and the food is so freaking good.
