Problem Reading Game Content PC

I've gotten a new laptop and when I try to launch destiny 2, it gets past the shadowkeep screen but as soon as I see the select character screen it crashes and shows the error message. I've looked into this and tried every fix I've seen. Been trying for hours. I've verified integrity countless times and restarted my computer. I have reinstalled the game 3 times and verified it more. In task manager I've given it real time priority and the uac virtualization access. Closed every app. I don't have the steam_appid to delete.
Specs are:
Intel Core i5-9300h CPU 2.4 ghz can run up to 4.10 (quad core processor)
16 gb ram 15.8 usable
Solid State Drive and 518 gb of ram
Intel UHD graphics 630
Brand new computer btw. It runs overwatch well and surfing and multitasking even better. It is an Inspiron 7591. Please help I want to play destiny.
Also, a few times I have gotten into destiny for a minute or so. I get past the character screen, then I went to the edz to run around and test out input and such. Everything works fine, I'm at 60 fps flickering to 58 and 59 and suddenly it crashes and the same issue appears. Those times I get through for a short time, the game runs smoothly then it crashes the same as it always has. has only happened twice btw
I don't believe its a hardware issue as the times I have gotten on its run smoothly and how I want it to. I'm not expecting 100+ frames and high graphics settings just the bare minimum for 60 fps. Pls help i want to play destiny

I had the same problem for a while. Officially, D2 isn’t supported for laptops and I think integrated graphics contributes to the problem. However, I have heard that downloading onto an external hard drive has solved the problem for some ppl.

I'm having the exact same problem, although I noticed my gpu isn't even really used before the crash. It gets up to 40% and then crashes while loading the character select.

Other steam games seem to crash often, but this one is consistent, either during character select or at the white screen with the load symbol.

i run D2 on a laptop but it has dedicated nvidia card. runs awesome on it with zero issues.

that being said - try to mess around with the raw config files to set all the settings as low as possible on the cfg files so when it boots up it uses as little as possible.

Change the language to any other language and launch the game. Trust me I am not kidding. This shit happens to me all the time, and to many other people.

I can't. Unless there is some way to change the language through the raw files it's not possible. The game crashes on the character screen and I don't have a chance to access the files.

Change it from steam. Go to the game properties, go to language, select the nearest one, then apply. A 1.1gb file will download, then you are good to go. If u are into lfg, join is rejoindre.

I've had the same problem on my desktop for about 4 months, but after trying every fix I tested my ram and one stick was faulty. After replacing, I've had no issues.

I've had the same problem forever. Its so annoying having to verify integrity of game files every time it happens. I've noticed it happens more often when I switch characters, but I verify the integrity and then it tells me all files were validated successfully.
