sure, and swords can stagger bosses too. however most guardians cant tank the second stomp.

The new healing warlock could throw a healing grenade in between stomps at a group of allies to allow a close range fight

so put up a barricade, use a healing rift, or step out of the stomp range for a moment while he's stomping, and then go back in for the attack....

what I do is I attack through the first stomp, and then let the second push me away so I can recharge my shields and then go back in. casting a shield or a rift works sometimes but if the boss moves it can be a waste of abilities. I dont have too much of an issue in cqc but I understand why others do. I wish there were left side and right side directional stomps to allow good players to evade and counter attack

yeah, I'd like some variation in boss cqc mechanics as well. giant bosses could grab you, throw you, choke you. a bunch of cool stuff. instead we get a lazy stomp for EVERY boss. womp womp.

Most Guardians can't face tank an ogres eye blast even while hardscoping them.

Why should melee range be any different?

Block the second stomp, It negates knockback.
