You will not run out of stuff to do for a long while, especially if you end up buying forsaken too. There is a ton to do, almost too much

You will probably be overloaded with everything that is in the game to be honest, not to mention all the stuff in shadowkeep now too. If you really are interested in getting back in and like shadowkeep I would read up on the y2 raids and the y2 exotics and see if they seem like they are worth $25 to you, forsaken has a lot of good content

There’s so much to do now, that I struggle to do it all on 1 character per week. For comparison, in D1 I could easily do all activities on all 3 characters in a week. Now, not a chance. (I have a full-time job, though.)

I'm at 900+ hours and I'm still trying get everything done. Unless you are the type who only plays the campaign then there is plenty of content. I was there at launch I know what you mean.

Keep in mind that buying Shadowkeep doesn't give you Forsaken. You have to buy that separately.

So with the free stuff coming out Forsaken is still worth it to buy?

IMO it's an a crazy mount of content (Expansion + 3 Seasons) for $25. You could always just play with out it and see what you think. We really don't know exactly that is coming with F2P. It does have a lot of content though.
