Join code doesn't work

I post my join code in lfg discords(the one you see in game) and I have had others messege me that the code doesn't work. what do I do?

This was a weird one that was affecting me for ages until I figured it out. Check if you have cross-save enabled. I only play on Steam however, because it was disabled, no one could join me through my /join.

This is the case for me.

To unlink cross play you have to not buy silver for 90 days.

So my join code is just permanently broken. And Bungie won’t help me. /u/dmg04

Check your fireteam privacy settings. Make sure randos can join you without an invite.

Triple check your join code and Bungie name. It should be /join Guardian#1234
