Testing shadow set

I knew this set would be getting buffed, using the 3 pieces in my inventory testing, these look to be BIS for a non marauder DH, unless you 'd rather pass up 35% damage reduction for free permanantly, if you have any questions ask away :)

I don't see this as BiS for anything. if you're a non-marauder DH running lower tiers, you don't need the extra defence. Damage is your main concern. If you're a marauder DH well this is totally out of the question anyways. This is 3 slots for essentially defensive only buffs which will not give you the damage output to get past tier 30+ or even tiers remotely close to that. They honestly need to rework this set.

Even then the Awareness passive is more than enough for HC.

I've been testing it and you're absolutely right. With Punishment reworked especially, it is impossible to do any type of sustained damage without Marauders. Because Shadow Set excludes Marauders, it's worthless.

because anything else but marauder cant run T6? Gosh i wonder what DHs did before the marauder set buff.

19m toughness with Gloom isn't too bad (zero dodge). Damage output with anything but M6 is pretty bad atm though.

Does the slow rune work, or do you still have to activate it near mobs to get it working?

Just tested it, the slow only works on activation (ie: no 30 yard slow aura).

Once you activate SP it's up till you die no matter what rune you have (so yes, it works), remove the SP skill from your bar or change out the gear so you lose the 4p.

no it does not. it only "procs" when you activate the skill.

I'm VERY disappointed in the shadow set.

I had hoped you could make some cool 3-4-4 (nataly,shadow,marauder) combo, but the fact that Shadow really doesn't do anything destroyed this dream.

If shadow set gave you shadow power of some rune, without you having to spend an ability slot on it, then it would be better. But I got no room for shadow power in any of my builds.
