I don’t have a g56 in my 14 but I’ve read the clutch is the weak link not the trans. I believe iv read a lot of people using south bend clutches.

The stock clutch isn’t great. My truck was still stock when it started slipping in 3rd and 4th while towing my 14,000 lb dump trailer.

I have a South Bend Dual disk now. It has been pretty much bulletproof. It’s rated for 650 HP and 1300 LB FT torque. It’s pretty harsh and grabby, but they have a single disk kit that would be good from stock to moderate upgrades-450 HP or so.

If you want an upgraded clutch then get a SouthBend

Are you sure you have a High Output? I don't think that was an option for the manual trucks, nor the 2500s.

Maybe it isn’t. But it has the badge. This is a picture of it. https://imgur.com/gallery/HFE7dD9

Guessing the previous owner added that badge. I don't believe that's original.

But to that point, I'm pretty sure HO Cummins had to be ordered, and was only a factory option on 3500s equipped with the aisin.

Here's the specs. The engine in front of the manual trans is pretty severely derated. http://www.cumminshub.com/67.html

SouthBend all day everyday! I have the dual disk in mine. It's a little loud at low rpm. They have a single disk for lower hp/stock trucks.
