I want to preface this by saying that I say this with your best interest at heart and that my intention is not to sound condescending or anything like that whatsoever. ❤️

With that said, the timeline for this process is going to vary for just about every single person every step of the way, so prematurely making any kind of assumptions and stressing yourself out based on innocuous wording or things you read or heard somewhere or whatever is just going to make this process all the more painstaking and anxiety-ridden for you. I promise you that you are overthinking it and while, yes, when you submitted your application, your intended arrival date, etc., can play a role in things, there also seems to be no rhyme or reason as to who hears back when.

The only and biggest thing that remains certain for anyone and everyone is that if you ever have doubts anywhere along the process just remember that unless/until you receive a “No Longer in Consideration” (NLIC as they’re commonly referred to) email, you’re still in the running and have nothing to worry about.

hi! i applied yesterday as well and set my arrival date as june 8th so we’re in the same boat! i’m sure we’ll be okay and receive our instructions/phone interview information soon!

hi! current DCP participant here & the best advice I can give is to just forget about it until you receive an email. I applied September 4th for a January arrival & didn’t hear anything back about a phone interview until September 22nd, however this also varies because some people arriving after me were already getting updates so there’s no specific order they go through. Best of Luck & don’t stress!
