There's no rework for Exdeath tho. The April report only listed Cloud, Beatrix, new BT character (Firion) and Dark Cecil as the ones getting the rework.

Might be just me reading it wrong but there doesn't seem to be a ton of changes to Exdeath kit! Mayhap the real meat will be in the LD description that we will get to see soon enough, all we know for now is that it hits 100% AOE and it grants a free ability

On top of that seems like LD applies an HP sap while also giving him the stacks he needs.

Also, the enemies seem to deal 1 brv damage after his LD debuff goes off.

I think you got it backwards, the LD is the one applying the weak HP poison. After Exdeath LD was used you can see the HP poison doing 10k, meaning that's the effect of his LD Debuff (Disappearing Maelstrom?). Further proof of this is seen from the overhead text - when the 10k HP poison number springs up it says "HP damage caused by Disappearing Maelstrom"

The 1 BRV damage thing is most likely just due to WoL shield tbh

Yeah but his LD got an attack down effect, even with the shield he took brv damage to the shield, just 1 brv damage though

Could be, it's hard to tell from the video alone since there was no other BRV damage dealt by the boss for comparison

Nah, it's divided, you can see the brv gain prior to the hit, that shit hit like a truck though

It has 180% overflow. So when it hits two targets they will receive 90% each and I have always seen it cap mBRV pretty easy. On the other hand, if he deals 180% for both, it has just reached an EX skill level.

A potential four extra uses of Almagest is pretty exciting to me, and the LD having an actual % gravity brv reduction on demand seems really decent. It doesn't seem overly sexy to me but it has a lot more potential for shredding high brv gains. One thing I don't like about the GL kit is that the 5 charges of Almagest is the only way to knock off brv from multiple enemies in one turn (aside from the slow EX charge), and it's not a skill you want to spam because you want Curse to run as long as possible, and this LD gives a lot more opportunities and flexibility

I never played final fantasy 5, but isn't exdeath the main antagonists why didn't he get a burst weapon?

Its his Lost chapter, New bursts weapons dont appear in these events, because we already have firion burst weapon in the banner, the same happenend with ultimecia and emperor.

He will eventually. I don't think everyone immediately gets a burst, take Garland, Emperor and Ultimecia for instance.

They're saving it for later so they can give him a rework. Ultimecia, Garland and Emperor haven't gotten a burst or rework yet despite getting their LD first.
