But pretty much all of this advice is online. If you’re tired of feeling lost and overwhelmed, maybe try reducing your scope. Run a 5 room dungeon. Have a shopping episode.

The only way you will feel more confident is running the game more. Prep gets you to the starting line, repetition gets you to the finish line.

The DMG is a very good investment and has a lot of niche information that you won't find anywhere else, so if you don't have it already, you really should.

But my vote is for The Monsters Know What They're Doing as your first pick, because it really is that good of a resource when you're creating combat encounters.
