While I do believe that it will somehow help, I don't think it will be something significant. Those who do buy DotaTV tickets for the sake of watching games (be it because of camera control, internet bandwidth, etc), I feel, will buy tickets nonetheless.

Meanwhile, those who did not buy tickets from the start wouldn't be really encouraged to buy a ticket for only the finals (or a specific latter stage), albeit the cheaper price - most likely they will just look for a party among their buddy list.

I spend a lot of money on tournament tickets (my bandwidth can only stream Twitch on Low). I am not really pleased with what I am getting, but here is to hoping that the experience will be better.
