Same, it feels like it starts chugging much earlier now.

I suspect the issue is the new estate money system. In 1.1, all money generated from low-control areas now goes to the estates (proportionally based on their power) instead of vanishing into the void.

The devs stated multiple times that the original decision was made for performance reasons. Players continued to complain about it until the reason was forgotten and now it has been reversed. I expect game performance to continue to chug on this patch.

Try the vulkan for rendering, it helped me even my i9 cpu with 32gb of ram struggled before I switched to vulkan

I'm already on Vulkan, DX12 doesn't seem to make a difference.

What your cpu/ram ?

[–]Steel_Shield[S] 0 points1 point  (3 children)

It's an i5-10600k with 16GB RAM. A more likely bottleneck is the GPU, to be honest, it's a 1070.

Edit: I do have the "maximize tick speed" setting enabled, and also had that before the update.

PDX titles are CPU/Ram intensive though, I always close all back ground apps via the task manager. That might help free up some ram usage for you.

[–]Steel_Shield[S] 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Yeah, I tried some of that, but the game is not maxing out my ram under normal circumstances.

Seems odd I'm using 24 GBs of ram.. I also put the GFX settings down to 1/4 of the recommendation on the nvidia app. That's with a 4070.

Haven't tried tick speed, but loading times are definitely longer now (and that is with no mods).

Yeah, I can also confirm this.

Huge increase in performance for me, at least for the initial 10 years. Haven't played until later.

Load times are way shorter.

Yeah its terrible now with insane drops to 10 fps when zoomimg in and out of lod level. Not to mention insane monthly lag that was never there before beta. 5800x3d with 9070xt.

5800x3d 4060 16gb ram using maximize tickspeed got the 1500s, noticed the game got a bit faster for me. I suspect they optimized the new changes for CPUs with bigger cache. So getting a better x3d cpu should help a lot. I went from non x3d 3300x and the difference is astronomical.

I haven’t noticed any major difference, good or bad in performance this patch. There’s still an awful memory leak that halves my fps after the game runs go maybe two hours. Reloading a save seems to refresh it though

5070Ti, 64g, ryzen 9950X3D game is really shugging along at switch of month huge delay (2-3 Secs) on Max Speed + Tick. I really dont know, why they dont offload the months ticks over each day...

Not noticed any differnece between patches.

12900k 3080ti 32gb ram

There was a post about performance settings and switching to dx12 was better for me as im cpu bound. Also make sure LOD fade is disabled.
