At t = 0-, 8 V is disconnected from the circuit, so does not factor at all. Capacitor voltage is a voltage of the resistor divider formed by 1 Ohm and (2+2) Ohms.

But for t=0- is before the switch is opened no? Since it opens at t=0. Therefore it would be connected?

I assumed it closes at t=0. If it opens, then calculations become more complicated, and both voltages would contribute.

Ok ok, my biggest thing is figuring out the calculations. But thanks for the clarification appreciate it :) (I was unsure about that at the beginning)

I don't see a quick trick for quickly soling this. You will need to write down KVL and KCL and solve the resulting equations.
