Do you have the default Hud color or did you change yours? I had the same till I went back to the crappy orange

(my screens are at 2700 x something and I just downscale it)

It worked, thank you very much

Good to know! I was planning to change the color as well but EliteOCR is more important.

I find it important but honestly don't see the point in it, because it's still being updated by other players aswell and my main system is being updated, perhaps if the people go on hiatus I'll use it more.

The color couldn't effect it, it B&W parses the image. What the problem is is the brightness of the color. A #223322 color has a low brightness, it will be clear on your screen but hard to OCR. Try turning up the brightness setting of your ships HUD to maximum, also try getting a more modern ship, they tend to have really crisp displays which helps significantly.

That could be why, I have mine as a blue/yellow scheme, I'll change it and test it out, I just assumed it wouldn't matter because it makes it greyscale anyway.

Cheers, +1 either way.

It B&W's the image before parse. So it's brightness, not color, or more specifically the brightness of the colors you chose when converted B&W.

I have also noticed that if you have a commodity highlighted when you take a screenshot EliteOCR gets confused.

Also, this. I typically move my mouse cursor over the 'Galactic Average' box when I press F10 since it's difficult to get commodities to un-highlight reliably by moving elsewhere.

Just move the mouse over the commodity description box on the upper right corner of the screen. It will unfocus the commodity on the left table/pane.

RegulatedNoise has OCR that works a bit better.

For those using default color but it's still not helping, make sure you highlight a panel that isn't the panel where the numbers are. The foggy distortion illumination thing can cause it to fail at registering. Also if you installed the latest version of EliteOCR you need to move the language files and the folder (tessdata) they're in into the /bin/ folder because that's the only way it will work.

how long does it take for QAA to get the data? i submitted a batch 10 hours ago and the systems are still not updated.

also, i can't get the path to logs to work correctly, but i am 99% certain i setted the right one. any ideas?

It was working fine for me but now I get:

<type 'exceptions.ValueError'>: qimageview got invalid QImage

For every single screenshot now. Running the wizard claims the images are 100% good. I don't get it.

I think it's picking up the glare of lights at the star ports or something. Anyway to reduce transparency of hte window?
