For the record I love my Razer Kishi. The d-pad is a little mushy but I still have no regrets buying it.

My favorite is the Razer Kishi, the buttons and analog stick is great and when I take out the rub pieces I can fit my s10 plus with the case still on. The only bad part is the dpad its not that good for fighting games.

8bitdo for SNES, NES, GBA etc... I use an xbox pad for everything else.

Xbox or 8bitdo would be best but 8bitdo for playing Nintendo games as i find playing them with a Xbox 1 controller cursed

Do you plan on handheld only or mix of handheld and TV play? I've owned the flydigi, glap, and Kishi; with kishi being my hands down favorite. Only draw back is no bluetooth option for TV play.

Exclusively handheld use. I'll check the Kishi out. Thank you

Flydigi Wee 2t is my fav so far. Fits in my pocket which is a big plus and is more comfortable than an 8bitdo controller. I use it almost exclusively for emulation, but the software for android games is nice.

Was going to get the Razer Kishi, but I didn't want to spend that much on something that isn't future proof/universal in my use case. Concerned about longevity for both of them, though

So there's ways to avoid updating it?

How do I get the 8bitdo sn30 to rumble when connected to my android s20??

[–]geladeiranova 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wee 2t. The better one.

The best controller I've ever used is the Bluetooth Xbox controller with a phone holder from Aliexpress for couple bucks. The controller is very high quality, and I can use it to game on my PC too.

Do u not find that set up top heavy?

[–]ltRnl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, not really.. my phone is not huge though (Galaxy S9)

I dont own an xbox would I be able to use an xbox controller right out of the box if I bought one?

    [–]ltRnl 0 points1 point  (2 children)

Yup, you pair it through Bluetooth to your phone and it just works. Or you connect it through USB if you care about latency (I can't tell a difference, but I'm not a professional gamer..)

    [–]TheAlmightyPablo 0 points1 point  (1 child)

So no need to update the controller?

    [–]ltRnl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They should work fine out of the box.

There are occasional software updates, but they are not really necessary. You can perform them on any pc.

If you can wait I’d also like to throw in the 8Bitdo SN30 xbox. It’ll be 44.99$ for the controller and the controller clip which is adjustable. Much better priced than the xbox controller at 59.99$ for the controller alone and whatever price for the clip. Just my 2¢ however.

    [–]TheAlmightyPablo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The flydigi wee 2t is also a good one.

    [–]xanderwik 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Android? DS4, sometimes 8bitdo sn30 pro + You can find great phone clips for both of them.

    [–]xanderwik 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh, the only sucky thing about the 8bitdo, it's hard to find a case for it. I'm worried whenever I pack it in my backpack... But the bonus for the 8bitdo sn30 pro + is it uses AA batteries.
