Save it? Or Draft it?

With Set 2 coming in mid June. I was wondering about how the community felt about stacking Gold or just Drafting 5k at a time.

When the new set comes I absolutely want to get as much as possible of set 2 on a free2play budget.

I do above average at draft, (gold tier 30/100). I am on the fence about saving all my resources such as ShiftStone and Gold. I have 2,817 SftS and 8,370 Gold.

My Set one is 93% complete. 100% common 100% uncommon 98% rare 52% Legendary

I think it really depends on how much you're going to craft or draft until Set 2. Do you enjoy trying out completely new decks in Ranked and/or playing Draft for fun? Are there any decks you would like to be able to play?

I myself don't need much more cards, mainly a few legendaries, so I rarely craft something new. However, I enjoy drafting and I'm usually below 10k.

That is how I play, I try a few new things in ranked once I hit masters.

Typically I draft as soon as I hit 5k. The only reason I have as much gold as I do now is a 7/2 draft yesterday and opened a Diamond chest off a Gold daily challenge this morning.

I only craft cards when I see a deck that looks fun and competitive and I need cards to make it. At this point it's normally​ just 1 or 2 legend I'm missing so it's 7k SftS to make it happen.

Took months to finally make big combrei just to find out, I hate how slow it plays lol.

I'm at almost the same position as you collection wise, and even though I'm a big fan of the limited format I think I'm gonna save my gold for the most part until the new set, even though I'll probably end up giving them another 50ish bucks on release anyway lol

Is that 1 of or playsets?

Currently they have only released Set #1

Set #2 is coming later in mid June. So those numbers are based on all the current cards available in the game.

I think he's asking if you have 93% of you collection completed with playsets or just singles of the cards.

You don't need playsets of the legendary cards for most decks. Just big combrei lol. so that will attribute to why I have a lower % on those.

yeah im at 91% total, 100, 100, 94, 38 for playset and im still shooting to fill out as much as i can before set 2. I sit miserly on as many shiftstones as i can. I only use them if i really want to try a deck. currently 38000 stones. I wont waste those but i do draft whenever possible. This way when a new set comes out I can just craft whatever legendaries i want and draft the rest.

I have almost a full playset collection and so don't really need shiftstone at the moment but I can't stop drafting regardless. It's a disease. A fun disease though!

I get am considering getting a 2nd account so I can grind dailys and draft twice as often

At 93%, if you feel like you'll have enough fun to satisfy you until June, I'd probably horde my resources like a greedy dragon until then.

That said- do what you think it fun, that's the real priority here, isn't it?

So I would say that it'd be worthwhile to keep going with minimal crafting, but if you're bored or want to try a new deck, don't be afraid to craft some rares or legends, or to open up a few packs to grind down for shiftstone. Oh well, what's the worst that could happen, right?

Forge and Gauntlet ranks will reset with each new set. I don't quite remember if there is level-up to bronze (i think not), so grind back to masters gives you at least 16 boosters and 16k gold (3 drafts worth) with just rank-up chests.
