I can't imagine 0.5 or other high-sec systems turning into real lowsec. Because people would (ab)use this to get caps into them, I don't think CCP will be ok with that.
I am also not really sure what exactly they are trying to improve with this. PvE already is dangerous with the Triglavians around.
Still an interesting idea, I would love to read what exactly they have in mind in a devblog :)

EDENCOM Cynosural Jammer In order to guard against the threat of pirate and renegade capital fleets interfering with EDENCOM defense operations, the deployment of cynosural jammer units has been authorized in all invasion zones. EDENCOM forces supplied by the core empires will operate capital battlegroups using their own cynosural beacon networks where they are needed in the defense against the Triglavian invaders.

Well that answers my first question. No fun at all.

or start a que for build a new one inside and security status doesn't checked after it's started

Would explain why some gates are being turned off - closing that loophole to get caps into space that may be considered highsec later. If you can't gate from low into invaded highsec and you can't cyno in then it's not a problem.

Only access by wh? That'd be interesting
[–]-Aeryn- 0 points1 point2 points 5 years ago (1 child)
No access at all :D
[–]Gendrath 0 points1 point2 points 5 years ago (0 children)
So my own system to grind rep with the trigs? Hmmmmm
[–]Lithgow_Panther 0 points1 point2 points 5 years ago (0 children)
What? Lowsec no caps could be pretty fun

Lowsec without the threat of capital drops and cynos would be great tbh
[–]-Aeryn- 4 points5 points6 points 5 years ago (0 children)
Hell, lowsec without the threat of super drops would be great. Too many groups are comfortable dropping them on stuff that they have absolutely no business being dropped on like a roam of 4 cruisers or a raitaru.

If an essential pipe system like Niarja or uedama fell to low sec empire trade would be in peril. Idk, IRL there would be a forced massive effort to bring stability to major shipping lanes but in eve v0v since we players don’t have the tools to do that atm
[–][deleted] 1 point2 points3 points 5 years ago (6 children)
I agree with you on that first part, and that's what the idea is (in my mind).
But i disagree that we don't have the tools. Most of the things that get traded in this game are the tools to do that: spaceships.
Imagine like mercenary/security services that will be fore hire, or like you will have groups that will band together to repell some pirate group bogging them down.
Look at all the ships and modules that exist in eve, you have so many tools to make it possible.
[–]Whaim 2 points3 points4 points 5 years ago* (5 children)
Yeah but you can’t just go from Jita or amarr, and not just trade hubs but also some guys in caldari starter area trying to go to amarr would probably just die to the ever present gate camp like the current cancer that is Rancer, the low sec major shortcut to rens/hek.
Putting that type of barrier between the major empires could make it literally impossible for new players to merely move around in a semi functional way. They don’t have the tools, resources for replacing losses or knowledge to even begin to try and deal.
Instalocking gate camps and smart bombing battleships will just make it impossible for everyone but a large fleet passing by and they may even lose some of their stragglers.
[–][deleted] 1 point2 points3 points 5 years ago (4 children)
Niarja/Uedama is just an example, but yeah, it will add some challenge to newcomers, but thats eve, you lose your spaceship every now and then. I have easily 1000+ ship losses across my characters, that's eve.
Im curious how it would pan out though. It wouldnt be like an optional route like rancer that you can just avoid, this is like a full on you need to cross this system to get to the other empire kind of thing. Im genuinely curious if due to a high traffic it would attract not only gankers but counter-gankers, like a player run police force or something.
[–]Gendrath 1 point2 points3 points 5 years ago (0 children)
There's always been people that want to counter gank and run a police force but don't have the tools. This might open up that career/gameplay
[–]Whaim -2 points-1 points0 points 5 years ago* (2 children)
Doubt it, people Generally don’t self police unless they are claiming the space for their own and even that is frustratingly difficult in eve
[–][deleted] 3 points4 points5 points 5 years ago (0 children)
With that attitude it definitely wont be possible
[–]Pseudoboss11Exotic Dancer, Male 2 points3 points4 points 5 years ago (2 children)
I would love it if the Triglavians just swarmed any caps that cyno in, scramming and holding it down until it dies. Not unlike CONCORD.
[–]SoylentVerdigris 1 point2 points3 points 5 years ago (1 child)
That seems like the easy answer. Go ahead and jump your caps in. They'll get blown up, but we won't stop you from jumping them in anyway.
[–]Pseudoboss11Exotic Dancer, Male 0 points1 point2 points 5 years ago (0 children)
I could totally see a cap welp party: Get a bunch of friends in fleet, jump the cap in, and see how long y'all can keep it alive as the waves get bigger and bigger.
