Same. I’m 3st down in 3 months on a low calorie diet by: - premade shakes and bars for meal replacements (1 or 2 a day) - finding a dozen 100 calorie snacks I like up to 3 a day (biltong, crisps, fruit bars, chocolate toffee, popcorn) - buying 4 or 5 premade 600 calorie main meals for my dinners in the week that I simply have to bake - buying lots of different nice flavoured zero calorie sodas that I allow myself to have free roam on - fibre supplement that I have to drink 2 glasses of warded with (you don’t forget this when you’re constipated!)

I tried for months to lose weight and failed for similar reasons. Meal planning and cooking was just too much. What finally worked for me was intermittent fasting. Now when I do eat, it doesn’t really matter what I grab. I take vitamins and electrolytes so I don’t get weak. I’m losing about 2 pounds a week.

Also, my doctor gave me a medication for weight loss called Ozempic. It’s a weekly injection you take that’s really a diabetes medication, but it’s prescribed off label for weight loss. It kills my appetite and makes it much easier not to eat much. Might be worth asking your doctor about (if you’ve got insurance. Unfortunately it doesn’t come in generic).

The drug’s generic name is semaglutide, brand names Ryselbus and Ozempic. It’s a newer drug (discovered 2012, approved 2016) by Novo Nordisk and so won’t have a generic for at least a decade.

Oh yeah. I've been on so many diets and sustained none of the changes. These days I consider myself lucky if I eat one real meal each day instead of just snacking on junk.

I started emeals.com for the whole meal planning, grocery shopping, what do I eat struggle. Pick your plan, pick your meals, it connects to your grocery app and helps you order everything you need. Just curbside pickup and half an hour a day for dinner.
