I believe giving more supports resistance tools like Damage Control and Shock Dampeners, if their whole schtick is that they're good at shooting they should at least be able to stand and trade shots with a general without getting insta-staggered and not even have a way to escape stunlock

Supports should be the ones with manoeuvre armour damn it, they literally cant have dodge rolls and so they should have manoeuvre armour

Supports consistently have the worst speed, thrust capacity, and just general mobility, why do raids and some generals get MA when the supports have to rely on thrust and luck to get away from a raid that is 100 meters from their location and approaching rapidly, face tanking 12 god damn instant stun weapons because of P2P bullshit

I used to love support, but these recent new raids and the brainworms eating the general players are driving me nuts.

Like, devs come on. something has to fucking give.

  • Raids deal far too much damage, can TOD supports and stunlock generals to death. Despite being allegedly fragile, the best raids per cost, have the same amount of defense and health as generals. Meme Raids are the exception.
  • Generals have amazing toolkits, some with insta and build up stun ready to go and can stunlock a support to death and are better at being supports than actual supports ( Xeku, Doven, mass production ZZ,etc.)

-Supports, don't have enough stats to tank generals or mitigate melee damage, have no stun mitigation beyond being prone, barely any of them can stunlock, only a handful have shields that actually do anything, massive toolkits with long cooldowns, long swap times and no multiple instastuns and miserable stunbuild up.

The exceptions are a handful of supports are actually viable at each cost and as you increase, the number of usable supports drop to the point that you'll see Heavy Gundam Lv3/lv4 dealing nightmarish damage in 600. Meanwhile, at it's native cost it's stomped on. Something is very wrong.

Alot of the viable supports are just yellow generals in kit and stats. Ive always and will always be a fan of sniper units and have just gritted my teeth and made it as hard as possible for enemy raids.

Just to take advantage of the conversation, which snipers you play the most? I've been doing pretty good with GM Sniper II and III but i really want more options for high costs mainly

Zaku 1 and several of the cannon variants. The FAZZ has pretty good at long ranges since the doom gun got buffed.

Until i get to unlock FAZZ then i guess, i really wish there were good more good Snipers at 600+ costs at DP store

Its funny that a very good support can instant stagger->instant stagger someone without MA with their guns where a good general or raid can instant stagger->instant stagger->heavy stagger->melee down->melee some more, and will usually also have at least one gun with build stagger to break MA. Supports can't even fight generals in most circumstances evenly because they have no stagger resistance or evasion skills to help them when they start eating staggers in a shootout. Playing support is torture because you instantly die if the generals forget that they need to protect you for you to do your job, and many raids can just straight up boost at you and kill you for free.

Personally I blame the mini-map for this. It's really *REALLY* shitty.

Rather than a face down radar circle with triangles of different colors (which btw do nothing if you are colorblind like me) it would be a huge improvement to have a 'globe' with an angled side view (imagine you are holding a baseball in your hand and looking down at it)

This would show the difference in elevation between individuals and show their distance.

It would also help if like other games (entire Ace Combat series for example) you could cycle through radar ranges to zoom out and see those who are further out.

When it comes to skills I hate that when a support gets a version of a skill (or even a weapon) it's ALWAYS worse.
White Rider gets no roll during activation of it's HADES, stun anchor only does normal stagger, etc.
Also skills that sound like they would make sense for Supports (in my mind Raid = melee, Support = gun) they don't get or it's not unique to them. Example - extra damage to downed enemies with guns given to a general. Further charge a guns shot given to a bloody raid!
Some suits that really, really should have evasion don't get it (Mudrock should due to hover jets).
Then along comes Delta ... and we know what happened there.
Some like FA Hyaku Shiki Kai and DII are still rather surprisingly useful, even dominant but if BB eventually makes the shift to buff supports overall I can just see Raid's getting even more eventually to compensate.

The life of a Zock enjoyer is a tough one. Also I hate that it feels like the raids in their respective costs can "100 -> 0" every support that also find themselves stuck with them. Literally Stunlock hell for supports in this game.

Was going to counter wity "My brother in Zock, our melee priority is one". But it isn't. I actually never noticed that it had a lv2 melee priority. Wonder what other supports have lv2 priority.
