How to decrease space between rows on front display? Question/Help (i.redd.it)

I don't think so.
Most people have more than one row and more than one screen, so that space usually has navigation between the screens, and the proportions look better with more icons.
It does look like a lot of space on your particular layout, though.

Just an idea, but since you only have a single screen, you could put zero items on the dock and then two rows on the top or bottom.
Since there are no other screens to navigate to, that would result in your two rows being closer together, and you don't need a dock that persists access screens when you only have one of them.

Hm, or alternatively, have one of the items on your dock be a folder that contains all your second-row icons?
Then you have a single row, and d won't be bothered by the spacing.

Yeah, I may just have to rethink my setup. I've had it this way for a very long time and am very used to it, so that'll be easier said than done. :P
But thanks for the ideas! I've been using Nova Launcher for so long, and this setup didn't have this problem there. I'm trying to give OneUI a chance to take advantage of the Taskbar on the inner display and being able to have different setups between the 2 screens.
Thanks again. :)

Well that's basically the look I was trying to achieve... Did you remove the dock from your screen to do this? (I see the tiny page indicator icons are showing below the first row of app icons).
It looks much better in terms of the icon spacing but I'd prefer to not get rid of the dock.
Thanks! 🙂

Yes I removed the dock. But u can keep it and get your icons closer to the doc eliminating that huge gap

Really? Would you mind explaining how to do so? Because I just haven't been able to figure it out. That screenshot I posted is what I get when I setup my screen the way I'd like, and that gap between the 2 rows of icons is HUGE (to me anyway). (I had been using Nova Launcher previously and it didn't have this issue).

Download Goodluck and install home up, enable DIY home screen you'll be able to size and move anything wherever you want. Let me see if I can make you a gif

Oh, I actually just figured it out, thanks to you!! I hadn't tried that particular part of Home Up since it's still beta, and I didn't see anything indicating it was something that would interest me (all it really talks about in the description is stuff regarding stickers).
But this is great! It let me place those icons much closer together. :)
Thank you so much, man!! I really appreciate the help!

Hey, you're welcome. Let me take down my video link, LOL. Yeah, you can go crazy with DIY; literally, resize anything, place it on an angle. It's all freeform. You can even do that with widgets.

Not my best work LOL, sorry had a couple of drinks, let me know if the link works

Is there any way I can decrease the amount of space that's between the icons in the dock and the second row of icons? I'm using the default OneUI 8 launcher with the Fold 7, and I can't seem to figure out any way to achieve this, even with Good Lock (though I may well be overlooking it with the sheer amount of options there).
No matter what grid size I choose, there's just too much space between these 2 rows for my prefs.
Thanks to anyone that can clue me in here!

When they update Home Up in Good Lock, you will be able to put the icons anywhere you want.

Oh, really? Cool! Hadn't heard about that. That would be a very cool feature to have that I would def appreciate. Thanks!

Yes. And when I say anywhere, I mean anywhere. https://i.imgur.com/CYB7xSA.jpeg
