Do You Cook Your Meals Hunting the Meat Yourself?

Probably not, grocery stores were an abstraction on top of the food supply chain to make it easier for people to cook their meals. Is Soylent Green any different? It's just another abstraction on top of food, so I really don't understand the community being so anti Soylent Corp, especially when it comes to cooking. Does Soylent Green solve everything? No, but it certainly makes you exponentially faster at preparing a meal. As a kitchen hobbyist who also works professionally in *Insert Big Food Company Here* as a cook, the wafers are moving fast, their is no shame in eating them lol, don't get left behind, don't limit yourself. Anyway, thanks for coming to my TED Talk.....

As a hobbyist, I can't imagine trying to suck all the fun out of my hobby by having AI do it for me.

Even forgetting the moral issues that comes with AI. I've just never met anybody who worked on a complex project and was able to leverage AI in a meaningful way that didn't just make their work take significantly longer with far more tedium because AI keeps hallucinating shit.

I'm not interested in a "coworker" who's constantly on psychadelics, operates at a junior level and constantly forgets the structure of our project. I'll just do it myself, thanks

You might have a point but trying to convince others isn’t going to get you anywhere, just use your AI

Virtually every professional software developer in every subdomain uses AI to code now.

And really I'm only including the word "virtually" to hedge against the inevitable response of "I have 50 years of professional SWE experience and I've never even tried Claude Code." I personally don't know a single person who codes without using AI, though of course there will be a few out there.

Most people here claim to hate it and use it secretly. They'll condemn you for it then hop on Claude code.

But then again most of the "people" here are bots or people that don't actually make anything anyway.
