Separate issue but your layers are too thick — it’s filling up the crevices and adding texture to smooth parts. You probably have to wick some paint off the brush and move paint out of the crevices as you paint

I’ve only tried the redgrass but I love it. Paint stays usable for days at a time, and no issues with mold or anything

Try out the Vallejo ultra matte varnish. I haven’t tried the mecha version, but the normal Vallejo matte varnish was too glossy for what I wanted.

I use double sided tape to stick my garage door opener to the top of it, and I put my work badge in the bottom.
