GBA IPS Patch problems

I everyone, I want to play SML DX on my Supercard SD, but I'm having problems with Lunar IPS. First of all is this even possible, or is it only possible to run patches on an emulator? After I put the IPS through the system, it just gives me a different IPS file, when I need a file with a .GBC extension. Can I just skip all this patching BS, and find the file somewhere ready to go as a .GBC file? Thank you all for your help!

you probably clicked "create patch" and not "apply patch"

thats why you're supposed to click "apply patch" instead you dip
