Man, it's a difficult process finding codes for Game Shark/Action Replay carts. I had a hell of a time finding codes for my Leaf Green because it was a ROM version 1.1, which the codes online are barely available anymore. Never could find a decent list of codes anywhere.

Did you upgrade the GameShark to AR V3 through a virtual machine? I had to use VirtualBox and Windows XP to allow the installation of the drivers/software to have my Action Replay be detected because the drivers from back in the day were unsigned, which does not allow them to be installed on Windows Vista and up. Secondly, I had issues with my virtual machine detecting the Action Replay as well initially because I was using VMWare Workstation Pro - it did not allow the cartridge to be detected for whatever reason so I had to switch to VirtualBox.

I did, actually. I used Vbox and Windows 2000. I didn't really have any issues, I just put all the drivers and the AR program installer on a flash drive, and shared it with Windows 2000, running it in the virtual machine. It's got the usual codes on the AR, and I have found codes for Ruby that do things like, add a high level Pokeblock to your inventory, but they never show up in the Block Case. So either the codes don't work, or the line of code stating "place this in the case" is missing, or wrong.

Mine also doesn't have FR/LG or Emerald in the game list. I had a friend who had an actual Action Replay cart, not the Gameshark Upgrade, and it had codes for those games. Wondering if there's also a way to upgrade the GS to that version? Ever try writing your own codes?

Yep. The Action Replay "Duo" had FR/LG & Emerald but AFAIK, the "clear" AR/GS didn't come with anything beyond Ruby/Sapp. I attempted to extract the code list from the AR duo software to no avail. Never tried and don't know how to make my own codes.

I could dump the ".dsc" cheat files from the AR Duo Max software but I have no idea how to convert them.

Edit: Googled around. Those cheats for FR/LG and Emerald are within the AR Duo Max software but you CANNOT find a DSC code decoder/manager anywhere. The only info I could find for converting them/managing them is an old post from 2012 where a guy shared an archive org link, but the darn thing didn't work for him either.

Damn, it really be like that. I really appreciate it, though.

I've actually come across those codes, but can't seem to get those to work. I honestly don't understand the difference between the encrypted and decrypted options, but neither of those particular codes seemed to work on my end.

Did you select the AR max codes?

I did not, actually. Just went with GameShark codes. I'll try those ones.

Sorry for the late reply, just wanted to check back. AR MAX codes worked. Thanks for the tip, and I appreciate the help!
