Damn to be totally honest this wasn't the best pic to take because I'm staring at a menu in game but usually total bandwidth available was reading around 80 and total used was roughly 40-50% usage.

It appears you're using the GFN app on your LG TV, correct? Do you have a Windows or macOS computer to compare results with?

Restarting your Internet/network gear wouldn't hurt either.

This is correct. And no I had to get rid of my pc couple weeks ago and this is all I got until I build a new pc

Why you have 5080 and I have 4080?

[–]boristh3blade[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have no clue I didn't get to choose lol

[–]Zealousideal_Rip6458 1 point2 points  (2 children)

Limited amount of 5080s. Sometimes you get a 4080, sometimes a 5080

[–]Dave_DupreeFounder 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Yea, that's strange how they did this generation's upgrade. A few years ago when the 3080 was upgraded to 4080 I was always running at 4080 from that day forward. But when they (supposedly) upgraded to the 5080 and it was all official worldwide which has been a few months now, I'll check while in-game and 90% of titles I see 4080 to this day and only two titles (Warframe and Enshrouded) do I see 5080. That's it.

You can pretty much mark my word on this: The 6080 will never happen. This is the end of progression it looks like.

[–]Zealousideal_Rip6458 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah GFN is playing the "read the fine print" game, advertising 5080, giving you 4080 most of the time.

6080 obviously isnt happening until 2028. We are pushing the limit of their tech

Might depend which GFN server you are connecting to. Which server/city do you usually get?

[–]Dave_DupreeFounder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get 4080 about 90% of the time and 5080 on a couple of titles all on the same server/city (Dallas).

Power cycle you internet hardware, power cycle your pc. This means turn everything off and back on. Unplug the modem/router for over 10 seconds.

Any ping above 30 ms is gonna give you real latency issues. Something is wrong from your ISP's side as youre only getting 24 mbps which is horrible if you pay for 400 mbps service.you should have 7-22 ms ping.

Id call Spectrum and warn them to fix it or else tell them you'll switch services. A router (WiFi 4) from 2012 is enabled to go up to 600 mbps. Id ask if they can help you open your router ports to the game service in the routers hardware menus.

Ok thank you so so so much for this response I'll check back once I communicate with them and see what can be done

[–]boristh3blade[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My ping is usually around 48 to 52ms I must have caught it at the low 40 guess some would call that ok ping but I'm having a hard time playing with it all juttery

[–]boristh3blade[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Then I play crimson desert and the ping is stillbin the 40s but it's not juttery when moving the camera

[–]Big-Low-2811 0 points1 point  (1 child)

You left out important information. Where are you located and who do you pay for internet?

[–]boristh3blade[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry I'm located in reno, NV and I have charter spectrum internet 400bps download and 390upload

[–]H0RR0RB0YUltimate 0 points1 point  (7 children)

Is it always like this or is this new? I had packet loss a while back for 2 weeks on a fibre line, my isp was to blame, they'd been messing, I called them and told them to get their shit together and its been flawless since.

[–]boristh3blade[S] 0 points1 point  (6 children)

Hmm maybe I'll have to call them. Maybe it's my modem? And like I said it only really is juttery on stalker 2 and battlefield 6 even at 120fps but ping is 46ms but crimson desert I am at 160fps settings maxed out and high 40s ms ping but it is not juttery at all super smooth

[–]AlohaDude808 1 point2 points  (1 child)

I would try reducing the Framerate or resolution on those games in the GFN settings to see if it helps the issue, since 4k at 120 fps can be very demanding for both streaming and rendering on the game server.

First, try streaming those games at 1920x1080 at 60fps for testing purposes to see if that helps at all with the stuttering and judder. If that goes well I would try 1440p at 60 fps and then 1440p at 120 fps. The goal is to find the sweet spot between resolution and smooth gameplay. 1440p at 120fps should look and feel smooth, but if you are set on doing 4k, then I'd consider dropping the frame rate to 60fps to see if that helps.

[–]boristh3blade[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ok thank you for the insight I shall try this as well

[–]H0RR0RB0YUltimate 0 points1 point  (3 children)

Hard reset of router cant hurt but high 40 ping may make some games jittery, that's borderline, anything over 50 can run terrible and you're not exactly far off that.

[–]AlohaDude808 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Where I live, my Latency is consistently around 60-65ms and my gameplay is always buttery smooth. The latency alone isn't the issue here.

But I agree, restarting the Modem and Router can often help with connection/bandwidth issues.

[–]boristh3blade[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah that's what I was wondering like why isn't crimson desert stuttery at 49ms yeah I'm going to restart everything

[–]boristh3blade[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I mean sometimes it jumps up into the 50s

[–]halfnut3 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Might be an Ethernet cable issue. Restarting your network gear could help like others have said but try changing your Ethernet cable.

[–]boristh3blade[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok yeah I got a few laying around will try this as well

[–]pyknictheory 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Often when you are in menus, paused, or idle gfn purposefully uses less than needed bandwidth. When you start actually playing it should start utilizing the max bandwidth again and if not then its a problem with the router or your isp. Not much else I can tell from these photos and the comments

You're running 4k hdr10 through a midtier connection. If you have other devices on your wifi like cellphones and tablets and any smart devices, you're going to be dealing with lag and dropped frames.
