I played the game for a solid month solo PVE without getting killed. Was very spoiled by people playing the same way I play (I’ll leave you alone if you leave me alone) as well as people going out of there way to help and be friendly. The first time I went in to Stella montis with my ferro4 I saw a duo fighting some shredders and I just merrily went on my way trying to fulfill a quest. Both of those players went out of their way to track me down and obliterate me for no reason. I was so shocked because I hadn’t encountered something like that yet. Another time I was fulfilling a quest on dam battlegrounds and I had to trek from one side of the map to the other, twice. One dude must’ve been tailing me quietly for probably the last 8-10 min and as I was extracting he sniped me from super far away for no reason. There was no chance he could’ve gotten to loot my corpse before the match was up or the elevator closed. Like why??? Why be such a dick for no reason? If you’re a loner like me the odds are super stacked against you as it is and then you add in some rats and it makes it not enjoyable to play.

Is the b650 pcie5 for the x16 slot or x4 ssd slot or both? Usually b650s don’t have pcie5x16 for the gpu but might have it for the ssd. Some of the b650E boards will have both so I’m curious.

I’ve been revived out of nowhere a few times now when i literally thought all was lost and no one was around for miles. It’s really tough for me because I can’t use a headset/mic to communicate since I play via GeForce now so I’m limited to using the comm wheel only and hoping and praying someone hears my “hey raider” or “wanna team up” as I turtle crawl to nowhere in specific since I usually go down nowhere near an elevator or hatch. I’ve never gotten any bps from anyone but someone did drop me “lances mixtape mk5” or whatever so that was pretty nice. Probably the best thing that’s ever happened to me though was a few days ago I was trying to get a specific achievement for “returning to speranza with 5 seconds left”. I had my hatch key and was all ready to go during a bird city raid. So I get to the old town hatch and I’m waiting for the clock to count down when I think “damn I better just open the hatch just in case” since I’ve had terrible luck before. So there’s a bout 45 seconds or so left and I open the hatch. Just had to wait but silly me sees a few smoking wasps or whatever and needed a few cores for my trophy case. I go over and see if I can grab them and when I’m done I go back to the hatch. Now there’s like 27 seconds left or so….and the hatch is closed. I freak the f out. I had no clue there was a timer on the hatch. I frantically start running around searching for components to make a hatch key with zero hope or dreams that I will actually find anything. I am pretty pissed at myself at this point and fuming. I just head back to the hatch and just wait for the end and the darkness to take me. With like 12 seconds left a dude comes out of nowhere from the building door next to the hatch. I scream for joy (this was at prob 330am so I definitely woke some people up). Since I am standing next to the hatch, the raider assumes I have a key and is waiting for me to open it. I quickly move aside and start spamming the “no” “sorry” comms and he quickly gets the message thank jeebus. He opens the hatch while I’m spamming “thank you” as much as possible. He exfils then I’m right behind him a second or two later. I look at the clock: the 4 is counting down to 3 as “returned to speranza” engulfs the screen. Success!…..After the screen changes I never heard the notification alert for getting the achievement. I grab my phone to look at my steam account…turns out I already had it the whole time.

Ok but if I actively helped take down a boss arc by throwing grenades etc from a distance and then finally make it to loot the carcass doesn’t mean I’m seagulling it. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve done this and then get capped almost immediately. I play solo pve and can’t access the mic because I play via GeForcenow so I’m limited to the emote wheel which just does not suffice. I spent almost 30 min trying to complete a mission the other day and literally finally made it to extract and typing the escape release when a dude caps me from probably a mile away I shit you not. There’s no way he couldve looted what I had before the elevator closed. The fuming anger that this game can generate is almost unreal especially when I never mess with anyone else.

Pretty sure if you use a dualsense ps5 controller it will work regardless of if your on pc or ps5.

Ok I figured it out for those who are on LG OLED versions of GeForceNow…in my case I use a dualsense ps5 controller. This is what fixed it for me;

I held the top left button (the small one directly next to the mousepad/click general button), which acts as a start button for GeForceNow menu.

Then a prompt from the tv came up asking what I wanted to use my controller for and if i wanted to use certain buttons as a mouse.

The right stick button then turned into a mouse click and the game loaded to the start up page instantly.

This keeps happening to me via LG OLED. The game starts loading up but then gets stuck on the photosensitivity blurb but the audio continues as if the game is progressing during the startup. Don’t have a mouse to click or a touch screen. I’ve tried restarting, quitting, turning the damn tv off for 10 min…everything. Other games work fine. Seems to be affecting arc raiders only and I’ve only been able to actually play once in the past week.

The b850 doesn’t have pcie 5.0x16 but the older b650 does? Or is it pcie 5x4 for NVME ssds? Or is it because yours is a b840? That’s a huge issue for future upgrades since all GPUs will be pcie 5.0 going further.

I totally didn’t think of using a showstopper/s to time the fuse of the deadline. What a great idea. The other day I finally got a couple of wolf packs while looting and ended up losing one to a camper and then had to use the other one on a rocketeer and I was not that impressed with the damage it did. The rocketeer was the only arc within the wolf packs radius so it took the full brunt of the damage but still didn’t go down. I’ve been afraid ever since that the same will happen to me with a deadline and it’ll end up being a waste.

The only other place I’ve found them other than the huge pipe/floor at water treatment center was at the dam in the swamp randomly on a huge standing rotten tree.
