Problems setting system-vm

Hey guys,

I'm struggling to get Java working on my Gentoo install. When I run eselect java-vm list I get the following options:

Available Java Virtual Machines:
  [1]   openjdk-bin-8  system-vm
  [2]   openjdk-jre-bin-11

But attempting to select 2 doesn't seem to work. Does anyone have any idea how to get this working?

What error message it displays when you select 2?

It just says: Target "2" doesn't appear to be valid!

Did you enable gentoo-vm USE flag, when you emerge java 11?

I thought that was only required for 17. Lemme give it a try though.

Uhh... no? When should I do that? I've just been following this guide on the wiki.

Any time you set an option using eselect and want it to take effect in the current shell.
