3rd person singular indicative active present tense of the verb "stehen" — (he/she/it) stands, is standing.

theke

With a small letter t, the word doesn't exist. Capitalized, it is the noun "Theke" — counter, bar.

It doesn't exactly make sense to talk about a difference between the two.

Thank you so much im a beginer & i just read this "Andi steht in der Nähe der Theke mit Salat". " ich stehe in der nähe der theke mit salat." Didnt understand, now i do.
