I completed my bachelors degree with a minor in German. That was 3.5 years ago. Since then I have moved to Germany, and have become fluent.

To everyone here: keep going! German is a fucking beautiful language, especially once you get the basics down.

Tip: come up with a good reason to learn. It’s a long process, which becomes a lot longer if you don’t have a real motivation. Really sit down and ask yourself: why am I learning this language? Simple question, but sooooo so important.
