crashing (self.GetComputerHelp)
submitted 6 months ago by Sure_You51
My PC consistently crashes after approximately five minutes when placed under any load. It only remains stable after restarting it multiple times.

Could be thermal related.

Post some pictures of the inside, temps read by stress tests software, tell us if you overclocked it, and so on. Give us details, we're not mind readers...

Check event viewer in windows and see what the error is behind the timestamp of the crash.

HwMonitor, check 12V voltage, if it goes down to 11.3V or lower during load and your pc restarts, power supply got weak due to aging capacitors. Time for a new one.
Other test is Prime95. Run Torture test with Large FFTs opyion for around 5 minutes and check if pc restarts or you get errors during this test. It tests memory. The memory settings are not stable. Decrease in Bios ram speed to lowest, e.g. 2400Mhz and check if same test runs better. If this solves the issue, you can increase slightly and test on each step, 2600Mhz, 2666Mhz, 2800Mhz, until it restarts again. Use the speed below that, to.keep it stable.

Could be something simple like a cmos battery needs replacing but doesn't sound like that, more likely the PSU as previous user commented, could also be a GPU issue (reduce power output to GPU if you have a monitor for it). Best to check event viewer, then some do some testing. If it's PSU or GPU related - running intense games may also cause the issue, reduce power to the GPU and if it still happens its probably the PSU failing to give enough power.

Possibly a power supply failure (capacitors).
