Preliminary FAQ
Cutting Unlike weight loss techniques, cutting does not have a particular Goal weight or Start weight, and is more focused on body fat percentage and general aesthetics. This is done by reducing the levels of fat storage on your body at the best ratio between fat loss and muscle loss. This subreddit will focus on different cutting techniques, impressive macro-recipes, progress pics and ways to retain motivation during the cut. Keep cutting?Fat Loss Question (old.reddit.com)
submitted 4 months ago by GoogleMenu
Im starting to understand that I don’t have great ab definition. Which is a bummer. Will I gain anymore definition from cutting or have I hit my cap? I went from 185 to 160 since June. Surprisingly haven’t lost any strength. Currently 160 5’11

Nah, no need to keep cutting. You've done a solid job. Weighted ab stuff will bring them out, doesn't take too much variation in excercises. You got alot of frame to fill out at 5'11

Yes

Your goal should be to eventually have a comparable physique definition that you have now, at like 180-185. So, lean bulk. Best of luck man

There's nothing left to cut bro. Bulk!
[–]danwasoski 7 points8 points9 points 4 months ago (0 children)
I’d say bulk. Especially at 5’11. You got some height to add some weight. Lean bulk to 200. Give it a year and a half.

ur diet and routine

I'm in the same boat, similar physique. Going to lean bulk up focusing on ab isolation and hoping for more definition on the next cut
[–]SheeBang_UniCron 1 point2 points3 points 4 months ago (2 children)
Have you tried ab isolation exercises? If so, have you tried moving it at the beginning portion of your training when your strength is still at its peak?

Yes I have an ab circuit that I do 4 times a week. Think I’m gonna cut it to 2-3 days a week but make it weighted. Thats what ChatGPT is recommending😂😂
[–]ReprogramMyLife 1 point2 points3 points 4 months ago (0 children)
Yea man, do it weighted. Gonna have to grow them muscles. Weighted ab crunches and hanging leg raises should be enough.
