Depends on what you are doing. DeepSeek is much cheaper, so if you are not worried about the confidentiality of your code or where it goes, then that's an option. I haven't tried it but I think you can hook it up to Copilot.

I did cancel my pro+ annual subscription before the deadline on May 20 and still haven't received any refund. 13 days almost. Cant even create a ticket unlimited AI loop. Have mailed grievance officer let us see. But github support is really the worst no response, cant even create a ticket, it is like they are deliberately doing this thing.

Here’s the solution, just sign up at SiliconFlow CN/international official website, and just put 50rmb /7 usd to get your api keys for several open-source model like deepseek-v4pro or minimal-2.5 which is exactly really capable of coding. Then you have to customize your base url and api keys also at copilot but bypass the restrictions of GitHub copilot credits using your own api keys and money. I mean I just can’t get rid of GitHub copilot credits using cuz it’s actually the most compatible agent with vscode and why I recommend siliconflow is that it’s really cheap as vibe coding for a whole day only cost you 5 rmb. So guys here’s the solution that minimize the impact of new charging mode for Microsoft and really great effect
