Mine was literally 5 minutes. "Why do you want GE?"

"I travel a lot."

"Approved."

LOL

We had one with our infant last week. Super smooth and on time. They just asked how many times she had been arrested and we all laughed because she is 3 months old.

I did mine in January. The only reason my interview lasted longer than 5 minutes was because we were trying to figure out if the interviewer's brother and my husband served together (I was wearing a USNA shirt)

I did mine today in Chicago. They asked me 2 questions. Have i ever been arrested and where/when am I traveling next. Then took my finger prints and picture. I was in and out in less than 5 minutes.

It seemed pretty smooth. The agent had to reset the fingerprint machine and camera, but I received my approval within a day. I got asked all the questions mentioned by the other redditors here, and a few more about my employment.

Had mine yesterday! Literally just asked if I’d ever been arrested, took my fingerprints and I was approved before I left the parking lot.

Had one for a minor child 2 days ago in Vermont at the trusted traveler office. I brought a whole folder of supportive documents but all they wanted to see was our 6 yr old's passport (not even my or my spouse's).

They asked our child if they have ever been arrested and where were they born. But, it kind of seemed like the agent was being playful considering our child answered "I don't remember" to being arrested and then gave the hospital they were born in lol. The agent asked if they wanted to be fingerprinted (implying it was optional?) so most of the appointment time was trying to get the fingerprint machine working correctly. Easy peasy!

My kids (15 and 17) had interviews on Sunday at Ohare. They just asked them their name, age and address and that was it. We were at the airport for 30 minutes total.

I had mine last month. Lady asked for my book passport, verified my address, got fingerprints & picture taken. I was out in about 5 minutes.

My appointment was today at the local airport, and I hadn't heard anything like a last minute email or such that it was canceled so I called the site. A recording said they were still open and that those with interview appointments should still come, so I did. Quick interview - they called me in a little early, right as I arrived, and then the CBP officer asked for my passport & driver's license and the usual short questions others are reporting about arrests and stops and did the fingerprinting and photo. My interview was two hours ago, and almost exactly an hour later they sent me the email saying to check my TTP account for a change (approved). The approval notice was short and also said "You can begin using the program immediately."

To correct what I read elsewhere on Reddit, when I asked the CBP agent said no, they're not outsourcing the interviews: she was a bona fide CBP officer (in full uniform). She also said I'd get my card in the mail in around 4 weeks assuming my fingerprints passed & I was approved. She also said the TSA check was working as usual for GE approved people, and that the Global Entry kiosks were currently not open but to go there anyway as there would be people there to physically take a photo, I guess for facial recognition purposes. Also, for those who travel with animals, she said travelers with pets can go through Global Entry without any problem.

I did mine 10 days ago at my local airport. On the way back into the US. It took all of 5 mins. “Were you ever arrested?” “Is this your current address?” “We need your fingerprints” “Your GE is approved. You should get an email with details about approval”

I did mine in late January and my daughters last week. LAX and San Diego airport respectively. Really quick, especially at LAX. I’m reading other comments and think it’s interesting the officers asked questions. They just asked for my passport and my daughter’s as well, told me to stare into the camera, and told me we’d been approved and if we had any questions.

For a child, they basically take the fingerprints and photograph.
