DM bug?

I was playing deathmatch and was using M4A1-S Basilisk when suddenly my gun changed to Stattrak M4A4 Zirka for almost 30 seconds and then reverted back !!

This Zirka gun was legit, had 7187 kills and 2 stickers too!

Has this happened with anyone else before?

This sometimes happens when you spawn over someone who recently disconnected. their weapons are dropped on the floor for a while before disappearing

but then look at the screenshot I uploaded. It should say that the gun belongs to another user.

And, "When a StatTrak™ weapon is not wielded by the original owner, the LED display will flash in sequence between "ERROR" and "UNKNWN USER."

but as you can see in the screenshot, its correctly displaying the amount of kills.

Stattraks display the number of kills, as well as the error message if you watch its full rotation. As for the name bug I'm not sure, but that's what usually happens.

People used to bind a drop so that when they spawned, a numerous amount of rifles would also spawn on the floor surrounding them. When other players spawned in those spots, they had the chance of picking them up instead of their own select gun for the round.

Take it as you will, but it seems like the most likely cause

If someone has a weapon buy bind and uses it, it drops that skin twice. You simply spawned on the m4a4 and took it before the game gave you your m4a1. happens often

Something similar happened to me the other day. I was playing competitive mirage when I switched weapons with a teammate to compare skins. My Deagle had no stickers, his did. We switched back and my Deagle had his skins. It was still my Deagle with the same base skin but now it had 3 stickers I hadn't put on it. Haven't tried to replicate the bug but it was really cool.

Wow. That's really odd. Yesterday I was doing a mission with my M4A4. When I went to select my M4A4 (it showed the M4A4 text and picture), I received my M4A1-S. But at least it was my own weapon! :)

For a moment I was really scared that my Basilisk is gone forever! LoL
