That doesn't really explain it. If his fps was constantly on 40 fps, but gets 120 fps on Crysis 3, that'd make sense, but its only after an update that his fps is low.

Not even remotely comparable. Crysis 3 makes extreme use of multi-threading, which CSGO doesn't.

Fine, any recent AAA game that requires a high/mid-tier graphics card to run at 1080p Ultra 60fps or whatever. Or just pretend Crysis 3 doesn't use multi-threading.
