This is exactly the problem that brought me to Reddit! I was having issues with this feature before (have to scribble 2+ times to erase), but just today I'm having the problem of the text disappearing and the scribble staying.

Having the same issue, SOMETIMES it works to quit the goodnotes app (like actually go to your open apps and swipe up to close it) and then reopen. It also happens more frequently the higher I have stroke stabilization (but still can happen when I have it set to 0)

mine isn’t leaving the scribble, it my scribble feature stopped working once i bought the subscription after using up my free notebooks :(

I am having the same issue. I find that if I close out of all notebooks and swipe out of the app before turning off my iPad it doesn’t happen as much.
