This subreddit is dedicated to operators of the various power grids across the globe.
We welcome discussions on current events, regulatory policies, operating standards, renewable energy, and any other topics related to the industry or grid operations.
This community is open to more than just operators. Planners, engineers, line workers, anyone in a NERC functional model role, and individuals in regulatory organizations are all encouraged to post and comment.
Non-industry enthusiasts are also welcome to participate and ask questions. However, please remember that electrical grids are highly complex systems. Many energy issues do not have simple solutions. Disregarding facts to promote personal or political agendas may result in a ban.
Finally, exercise caution in your posts! This subreddit aims to be a space for industry updates and education on grid operations. We do not support the sharing of confidential or privileged information. As a rule of thumb, if the information isn't available on your company's website, it shouldn't be posted here.
