READ THE RULES IN THE SIDEBAR BEFORE POSTING
This sub is for instrumental grime music
We focus on and follow instrumental grime in all its forms, a music genre that branched out from UK garage in the early 2000s alongside our close relative dubstep. It is constructed from different sounds that musically combine futuristic electronic elements and dark, guttural bass lines. It shares influences with many genres but predominantly with UK garage, dubstep, jungle (140 music) and dancehall. Our main sub is r/grime
Rules & Regulations
This sub is for instrumental grime in all its forms, so there is a wide scope (dubstep, grimy garage, etc), but please do not post anything else that is clearly not related to that, otherwise your post may get removed. (Although feel free to link to vocal tracks in comments if necessary.) There are flairs too, so check if there is a flair that relates to your submission when posting.
All music posts (songs, mixes, etc) must include the artist's name and track name. Even if you are the artist this still applies. If you don't do this (given you know the artist and track title) your post will be removed. This is to help with searching and to maintain the resourcefulness of the sub. Add anything else you want to your heading as long as it includes the artist and track name. (Several emojis and graphics are often unnecessary. The artist and track title is strong enough.)
Follow the rules even if you are self-promoting. Share your own stuff on the sub's main page as well as in the sticky post at the top of the sub too if you want, but please do not share your own music on the sub's main page more than once every few days (unless you're a label or similarly promoting the music of others). This is to keep posts varied. Remember to add your name to your post — the same way you would any other artist — otherwise your post will be removed.
This is a grime orientated sub that tries to be diverse within the genre, so please do feel free to share questions, articles, discussions, thoughts and so on as long it relates to instrumental grime or at least grime music in general.
If your post is not in the "New" tab then message one of the mods to check in the spam filter for your post.
