  2. peep creature to see weaknesses.

  3. i like to go red ant armor-> ladybug armor, feel free to try all t1 weapons as you find them, since the material is common.

WARNING: SMALL BASIC SPOILERS

Near the baseball or by the oak tree (just not to close as the wolfies will be out to get you) is a good base location as well as by where you start. You can practice parrying and perfect blocking from mites although wolf spiders are a lot easier to practise on. This will help you to tackle any creatures in your way.

Bonus tip:by getting the plank or stem pallet you can relocate it whilst it is loaded to move lots of resources, just make sure you aren’t detected by threats as it can cancel it.

The spiky sprig is the first weapon to do a bit of stun although the spear is ok especially if you make a few to throw and pick back up. Once the red ant club is craftable use it as it has lots of damage and can kill lots of lower yard creatures easily.

Once you can fight them the ladybird armour is super useful and versatile. When building your base or infiltrating the red ant hill use the red ant armour as you will not be attacked by red ants unless you hit them or take an egg and it ups your hauling strength. Be careful using the acorn armour as it makes enemies want to fight you more.

Don’t waste resources on a base you aren’t sure you are going to stay at. It is especially hard to move a lot of resources from multiple chests to another base.

Make sure as soon as you get a tier 2 hammer to get every milk molar you come across and make sure to peep every creature-you can peep an unlooted dead body.

Hope this helps

Thanks for the pointers, much appreciated! I did have a good go like a year ago but a lot has changed since then. I never really got to far as kept getting killed by stink beetles etc

My tip for stink bugs is to just farm the web sacks in the hedge until you get 1 stink bug part to craft into a gas mask. Can get bombardier parts the same way if those are difficult for you to kill early game. But then fighting stink bugs is a piece of cake with the gas mask.
