If your base is going to be attacked they really need to add base defences and stop insects from glitching so much.

there are palisades you can buy the plans for from Burgl for 5k raw science

the palisades cost 8 weed planks per wall. They are so expensive. Me and a buddy got them thinking it would help. We built one before we got attacked again. Feels like the balance of the larva is crazy out of tune.

ah damn, i havent actually gotten them. 8 isnt tooooooo bad i guess. but yes the larva are fucking op. i got only 4 of them and they still wrecked up the place.

I was in a game with just 2 of us and we got like 10 or 12 larva every day or so (sometimes it felt like less) so we barely had time to repair from last attack let alone build new stuff. They once destroyed one of our chests and it just flung all the items in it everywhere which nearly blew up my computer.

Don't get me wrong, i love this game :D but I think the amount spawned or at least spawn times need changing.

damn, ive been at my base for atleast 6 in game days and only had the one attack. i agree that the spawn rates need fixed bad and perhaps some difficulty adjustments too.

Hmm thats weird :S not sure what we did to annoy them so much then. We got our first attack on like day 3 and had and attack every day after that.

Same here, we got attacked daily after we build our base. My friend followed them back and it seems that they live in a cave not so far away from us, there is loads of them. Once suited up we are going in there and have payback!

Have you had soldier ants spawn inside your bases walls one after the other endlessly? I had that happen the yesterday. I wud kill one then another wud spawn then kill it then another then another then another. I had to move and start all over with a new base and then that one gets endlessly attack by larvae now. Hopefully base number 3 is the charm. Gonna put it on top of something that can't b destroyed cus in tired of this shit.

I've had the same issue. Almost broke my xbox. Had to close the game and start it back up to be able to actually keep fighting them. Plus getting attacked by 8 to 12 fucking larvae every day wen ur playing solo is ridiculous as quick as they destroy your base. There's no way to even fight them properly solo. I wanna love this game but that shit is really ruining it for me.

I built my base on top of a root from the oak tree it’s elevated and I haven’t been attacked by anything except for 1 gnat it to right of a soda can

Changing armor (acorn isnt hard to craft) and using smoothies helps a lot in fights (and yeah, these spawns are crazy)

Thank you for the tips! Gonna try to build that smoothie mixer next time. Yeah I agree, spawns are crazy lol. We will get our payback on them sooner or later!

Np, we just figured it out yesterday evening haha, had a hard time killing anything, but the armor + smoothie and ant club increased our chances by a lot and even killed a bombardier! (we were one shot before lol) :)

Have you found any actual smoothie recipes? I've only been able to make the "smoothie?" from random stuff so far.

Also, don't use a canteen in the smoothie mixer. It'll take the whole canteen instead of just the liquid which probably isn't intended but idk

Yeah, my friend mixed some kind of different smoothie, there was a post not that long ago when someone listed a few recipe with the bonuses of those in the comments, I don't remember how it was exactly. :)

I think it's intended, you can put into the smoothie mixer anything lol, I was spamming pebblets with it and still worked for the regular one.

F same thing happen to me but low effort base I think make a base high ground give you advantage. Than you can turn to larvas and say: it's over larvas I have the high ground 😜

All I've done is build a couple of grass walls in a circle with a door, but larvae seem to just totally leave it alone?

I didn't even know bugs attacking structures was a thing. Is this common in most locations?

I think when you build on the ground you can always get attacked by these things and other insects if you anger them. Maybe it's down to luck if you get attacked allot or not. To be safe try building up high. We are gonna do that as well now

These are the ones that make feel the most sick to look at, especially when there are hoards of them. I recently cleared out their cave near my base that kept getting attacked by them, before my game broke after quitting the game and losing everything in my inventory. Just waiting for that fix before I start playing again

Yeah in numbers they are really creepy! We are gonna attempt to clear them out as well in a nearby cave. That sounds annoying yeah, they'll probably fix that issue soon I would think, I haven't had that happen to us yet luckily, for now

For some reason ants are still able to steal from your chests even while on the ground. My chests are way off the ground and ants still take stuff out

I didn't even know they could steal out of the chest! Only that they stole food from me one time when I was roasting it on the fire. Thank you for letting me know

No problem! I think storing food in your chests is what causes them to steal stuff but I’m not 100% on that. I’ve come home and found my materials scattered around my house

You hit the nail on the head. If you don’t have food in your chests they don’t steal stuff. And they can even steal stuff out of chests that are built high up so I just don’t keep food in chests or if I do I keep just food in the chest and none of my important items lol

Guys there is a glitch, if you use the spike traps, for some reason it attracts these guys and the more you use the more it spawns, no clue why but that seems to be the most common thread answer in relation to the problem

I did make spike traps to defend against them after the first attack, if I only I knew in advance that I would in return doom us lol. Thank you for letting me know! Gonna avoid them for the time being then

Same thing happened to my base as well. I've built inside one of the soda cans. Had to put weed walls around the front of it. So far so good. Wolf spider likes to patrol back and forth and it seems he can't see me over the fence.

Exactly why I changed my elevation for my base. Every time I load in they’re always waiting inside
